Sam's Letters to Jennifer by James Patterson

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sam’s Letters to Jennifer was the easiest read in the world. The book is so small and the chapters were so short that it’s impossible to take more than two days reading the book.
Just so you all aren’t confused at the beginning, Sam is Jennifer’s grandma. At first I thought Sam was Jennifer’s husband or something, so I was confused and had to read the first two pages again.
You get two beautiful love stories. You will be sad for one of them, but I won’t tell you which one, to keep the suspense going ;).
I don’t want to say too much, because any little think I say can ruin the book for you, but I will tell you that you will feel good after reading the book.
Let us know what you think about this book.
There is officially something wrong with me. Once again, I read a book that I could not put down. I read Sam's Letters to Jennifer in a record time.. I refuse to tell you the time because you will call me a loser! :)
This book was AMAZING! I would put it up there with the great Nicholas Sparks books. Personally I give it 10 stars. You will NOT be disappointed with it, I promise.
I felt so connected to the characters, especially Jennifer. She had such a hard life and she finally started doing things that made her happy. She took time off from her job and finally decided to give love another chance.
I have to share this quote that was in the book because I think it represents what the author, James Patterson was trying to get across.
“For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin-real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.”
This book is all about love, life, and death. It reminds you that no matter what has happened in your life, you can always find love again, if you let it in.
I enjoyed this book so much because it pointed out to me that we need to take time and learn from our parents and grandparents. You can learn a lot about a person when you sit and listen to their stories.
I would LOVE for all of you to read this book, and tell me what it meant to you. If you don't want to go out and buy it, I will SEND you my copy if you promise to send it to someone else once you are done reading it. That is how connected I felt to this book. I am now going to take time and listen to my grandparents stories, before it is too late.
Lastly, I do need to point out the fact that Brendan (the man Jennifer falls in love with) is perfect. He is a great listener, a sweet man, and always knows what to say. And men like that do NOT exist. (I take that back… my dad is all of those things. What I mean to say is that there are not men like that left anymore!)
  1. I completely agree with everything you said! Sam's Letters to Jennifer is an incredible book. I read it in a couple hours. The short chapters and pages make the read really fast. I really love the ideas of the story. I am still waiting to find my Brendan though :D
